杜聰25年慈善路回顧
之中國、香港、加拿大、新加坡、美國缐上演講
杜聰，香港出生，初中畢業後隨家人移民美國，分別於哥倫比亞和哈佛大學取得學士及碩士學位。27歲就任瑞士某銀行駐香港聯席董事，兩年後出任法國一家銀行副總裁。在他事業最精彩的時候，竟然放下身段走進煉獄的愛滋村去救助一群家庭貧困而去賣血、父母染上愛滋病的遺孤。展望2023年是杜老師創辦智行基金會救助愛滋遺孤的25個年頭。目前智行累積照顧超過32,000名資助的學生。除了愛滋遺孤也同時照顧受歧視及貧窮的學生提供教育、醫療、生活及心靈輔導等照顧。
2005年被中國慈善基金會評為「十大感動人物」。他於2003年當選為「香港十大傑出青年」, 並於2006年當選「世界十大傑出青年」。
究竟在杜老師心裏的初心是什麼？究竟是什麼的動力令他排除萬難去肩負這極度不容易的慈善路。
